5 Reasons You Should Workout in the Morning

Sometimes it’s really hard to find the time to exercise. Between work, family commitments, spending time with your social calendar, cooking and cleaning up around the house sometimes it gets pushed to the bottom of the to-do list.

If you’re having a hard time making exercise a priority and reaching your weight loss goals, stop putting it off: work out in the morning!

As hard as it may be to get your butt out of bed and make it to the gym, or get your run in, it’s well worth the struggle. Plus, after a while, it’s far less of a struggle and is just part of your routine.

Here are 5 reasons why you should make it a priority to exercise in the morning:

You’ll be way more focused (and productive)

Morning workouts mean you get up sooner, and spend the first hour of your day in workout mode, rather than having to focus on anything else, or concentrate right off the bat. They allow you to have time to wake up adequately before having to be productive for the day and as a result, when it’s time to be productive you’re much more on your game. The endorphin release also helps you get a boost of energy to start the day and fires up your brain.

It makes sure it gets done

If you want to make sure you get your exercise in for the day, make it the first thing you do. Literally roll out of bed, put on your workout clothes and walk out the door. Everything else you are supposed to do will still be there waiting when you get back, and the bed will seem like a distant memory when you are a hot sweaty mess and jumping into the shower.

Increased energy

Physical exercise releases endorphins in the brain. These are produced by the central nervous system and trigger a positive feeling in the body. Exercising first thing in the morning makes you less likely to eat a bad breakfast, or eat poorly throughout the rest of the day When you start your day so well with a great exercise session, the last thing you want to do (hopefully) is ruin it a few hours later by eating a bad meal. Getting up that early has to be worth something, and it’s a lot more than sabotaging it with food!

I really feel the best when I workout in the morning and I get a lot more done but I am not building muscle fast enough
